TERMS AND CONDITIONS



Boarding rates are charged per day. This is inclusive of the day the animal arrives and the day it departs.

 Payment in full is required on arrival at the kennels. Any additional fees that may have incurred during the animals stay (bathing, extended stay etc) must be paid in full before the animal departs.


Daily rates are inclusive of all your pets needs. 


All cats and dogs boarding with us must be fully vaccinated. Please be sure Kennel cough inoculation is administered at least 2 weeks prior to your dogs arrival at the kennels.


In the event of injury or illness of a cat or dog, we will instruct our local vets or your designated veterinary surgeon where possible. Costs thereof will be met by the owner of the animal.


The owner must provide a second emergency contact number in the event of the owner being uncontactable. Failure to provide a second contact number will result in the kennels being assigned as second emergency contact. Therefore granting permission for the kennels to make judgement on the health and welfare of the animal in question. 

The animal's owner accepts and agrees that whilst every care and attention is given to the animal(s), they are boarding with Daws Heath Kennels and Cattery at the owners liability.


 Where two or more pets sharing a pen and/or exercising together, consent must be given upon check-in and liability lies with the owner. The kennels and cattery have the right to separate animals if they feel it necessary for the safety and comfort of the animals. Collars will be removed from any pets that are sharing accommodation.


All pets belongings are left at the owner's risk. The kennels are not liable for any lost or damaged items left with the animal. Owners must inform the kennels of their animals preferences for toys and interaction prior to their stay.


Deposits and short stay booking payments are required to secure your booking. These are non-refundable. In the event you need to cancel, payments can be transferred to another booking with advance notice or held as credit by the kennels for future bookings. Failure to notify us of a cancellation with adequate time to refill the space will forfeit any fees already paid. 


Dogs, under the owner’s control, must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the premises. We take no responsibility for animals or actions or animals on our property whilst under the owners control.


Cats must be in a secure cat carrier for handover. Any carrier we feel is unfit for purpose will not be accepted. This is for the safety and security of the cat and also for emergency evacuation procedures.


Please ensure any medication or own food is clearly marked with the pet’s name, your surname and full instructions of dosage.


Medical or behavioural issues with your animal must be disclosed upon booking. This is for the safety of all members of staff and your animal. Failure to disclose information may result in refusal of boarding upon arrival at the kennels.


Please ensure that you drop off and pick up your animal(s) during our opening hours 09:30 - 16:30 every day. In the event that you cannot make these times, prior arrangement must be made with us to come outside these hours. This is strictly by appointment only and to our discretion. This may not always be possible for us to accommodate.


We are open daily throughout the year for arrivals and departures of our guests except Christmas day, Boxing day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday.

Christmas day, Boxing day, New year's day and Easter Sunday are all charged at double rate.


Prices quoted upon booking, prior to the animals arrive can be subject to change. This is to accommodate for behaviour or medical dependencies and also to allow for inflation.


Facebook pictures and videos are at no extra cost. We endeavour to post a photo of all our guests but ask you drop us a message for requests. We are not always able to take photos and videos of your animal(s) and we cannot guarantee this. If you wish for us to not post any photos of your animal(s) we ask you let us know on check-in. 


Daws Heath Kennels and Cattery reserves the right to refuse boarding to any animal for any reasons.


In the instance that an animal is left in our care and their bill exceeds 28 days with no contact from the owner, it is classed as abandonment and therefor the animal in question falls into the ownership of Daws Heath Kennels.


Daws Heath Kennels and Cattery reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit. Any changes to these terms and conditions will be posted on this website, you are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
